We had a blast cruising the Mexican Riveria in November of 08. The guys couldn't wait to get their poles wet. The dolphins brought good luck on that fishing trip.

"Eppie's Great Race"

In July 2009, Eppy with her mom Marty and aunt Elspie will compete in the world's oldest triathlon, "Eppie's Great Race". The race consists of three parts; running (Marty), bicycling (Elspie), and kyaking (Eppy) along the American River through Sacramento, CA. Well, I've got to get training. Check back for results.

Tweety @ Six Flags

"The Girls" and I took Charlie to Six Flags in Vallejo, CA and got to meet Tweety! I think I was the most excited. I love Tweety!
It was Shaylee's first time on a loopy-rollercoaster and she loved it. Katie had fun getting soaked on the water rides. And Charlie got to see dolphins, sharks, and a killer whale up close. What an adventure!

Bear River Reservoir

While Katie and Shaylee visited Utah, Louie and I got to have what felt like a "honeymoon". The week was perfect. My favorite was learning to kayak down the Mokelume River and watching the sunset. We also went camping in the Sierra Mtns. and took a canoe fishing out on Lower Bear River Reservoir. We had a blast!

Backpacking the Uintah Mtns.

We just got back from our first backpacking trip into the Uintah Mtns. with Grandma and Grandpa Smith. We had a GREAT time! "I learned how to whistle!" said Shaylee. We caught over 20 fish, but we only kept eight. Next time we will bring our parents to show them how fun it is. We can't wait to go again!
XOXOXO Katie & Shaylee

Santa Cruz July 2008

Throughout the year we love to visit Santa Cruz and spend the day playing in the ocean.
Narly Charlie got to hit some killer waves. Katie and Shaylee had fun playing in the sand, doing cartwheels along the beach, and chasing the waves. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day in Santa Cruz!

She learned that from me! (haha)
